Quiet Mill
The Quiet Mill is part of Human Traces, a fine-art series exploring subtle human presence within natural environments.
An old tide mill stands alone in still water, isolated between sky and reflection.
Once built to harness the rhythm of the tides, it now remains suspended in quiet stillness, its original purpose long faded.
The surrounding landscape stretches outward, dissolving scale and distance until the structure appears fragile against the vast calm of the bay.
What remains is not the function of the building, but its persistence — a solitary human construction held within a landscape that no longer needs it.
The image does not describe an event.
It simply observes a moment where time slows and the environment absorbs what once belonged to human activity.
Each print is numbered and signed by the artist.
