Moonish
Moonish is part of Human Traces, a fine-art photography collection exploring the quiet marks left by human presence within the landscape.
A stone path rises toward the edge of the land.
At its end, a solitary cross stands against the sky, fixed between sea, rock and horizon.
No figure appears in the frame, yet the landscape feels inhabited.
The wall, the steps and the monument suggest passage — traces of movement, belief and memory embedded into the coastline.
The place is real, but the atmosphere feels slightly detached from it.
Light softens the scene. Distance compresses it.
The familiar begins to feel uncertain.
Rather than documenting a location, the image holds the viewer at a threshold:
between land and sea, presence and absence, reality and something more elusive.
Nothing happens, yet the landscape seems to wait.
Moonish exists in that suspended space, where a place remains entirely physical while beginning to feel almost imagined.
